5 Tips for 'Envied' Glossy Hair!

glossy hair

Snap!

Someone 'steals' a quick photo of you on their iPhone and before you know it, it's on Facebook and the whole world has the opportunity to see you and your hair in a less than perfect state!

Or at least; that's how I feel sometimes when someone 'nabs' a quick snap of me!

I've always harboured a little envy of anyone who can hop out of bed, slip a comb through their hair and BOOM, a silky, shiny, glossy mane is ready for action.

Not me ...

My hair is naturally a bit curly and if I'm not careful I can wake up with a big haystack or knotty 'cadaver' stuck on my head ready for an appearance in 'Night of the Living Dead'. Not that I ever complain, it's a darn sight better than when I lost all my hair during chemo!

But it's true, a glossy mane is instantly associated with youth and just like dull skin, hair in poor condition has the ability to age you.

I'm not just referring to an ageing hairstyle; how healthy your hair looks gives clues to your age and can indeed make you look older than you are.

So, why not treat your hair from the inside and watch the years fall away ...

  1. Drinking Causes Greying!

Alcohol drains B vitamins from your system, which can lead to premature greying. So boost vitamin B to help keep your colour.

  2. Bees are Good for your Hair.

Bee pollen is an amazing substance and contains massive amounts of nutrients we need for cell growth. Royal jelly is also great for hair as it's packed full of pantothenic acid and vitamin B5.

  3. Peanut Butter Can Help Stop Balding.

If only Henry (senior) liked peanut butter! I'm not sure it'd fix hefty case of male pattern baldness but peanut butter contains a nutrient called inositol, which has been found to help.

  4. Dry Brittle Hair? 'Gobble' Up More Unsaturated Fats.

Unless you've been damaging your hair with bleaching or too much straightening with your trusty GHD's then it's possible that hair that's dried out or brittle is down to lack of essential fats.

  5. Fading Fast

Loss of hair colour can be a sign of zinc deficiency. Maintaining your glossy colour is easy, as zinc can be found in bundles of foods including meat, fish, milk and eggs!

So there you have it! No excuses for anything but hair so sleek and shiny you'll like you've eaten a healthy diet of fish your whole life. Or at least, these tips should help you regain some lovely lustre.

And remember to keep your skin in top condition too with our luxury, natural skincare too!

BUT ... above all remember that no matter whether your hair is shiny, dull, long, short or you've lost it all due to illness (like I did) then you are still the most astonishing, beautiful creation x.

Looks are everything BUT there's no reason not to do your best to make yourself feel your best ... why not ... makes sense to me ...

Talk soon,

Tracey x

PS: You know what ... I know I've said it before but ... you are amazing! Keep it up!
