Eye Care to Help Minimise the Signs of Ageing

The area around your eyes is sensitive. The skin here is more delicate and thin. It requires a bit of extra care.

On top of all that, when you’re sick, tired, sleep-deprived, eating poorly, it all shows up in the area around your eyes.

This is usually the first area on your face that starts to show signs of aging. With age, fat deposits and collagen start to run dry. In turn, this can lead to this delicate, thin skin area welcomes wrinkles into your life first.

And finally, skin in this area is more prone to allergies and irritation. That's why it’s important to always read ingredient lists and know which ingredients trigger allergies and irritation.

Now let's talk about how to look after your eye area.

  • You usually shouldn't use a regular moisturiser for this area. Some will claim that they do and it works but it’s not recommended as the skin in the eye area requires a different kind of a product. The differences in formulas may be subtle, but a dedicated eye gel is a must.

  • Avoid using harsh cleansers on and around your eyes.

  • Gently remove makeup, with no harsh pulling and tugging.

  • Practice good sleep! Not just for your eyes but for your overall health and wellbeing.

  • Watch your diet. What you eat can contribute to puffiness, dark circles and more. And often those symptoms are outward signs that you may well be better off changing something in your diet. Lots of fresh vegetables, fruit and unprocessed food is always a good place to begin!

And for a little extra help, our Imperial Eye Gel is gentle, effective and right now our most popular single product too. Thousands of reviews sing it's praises!

Have an amazing day, Tracey x
